Hilarious video! I love to read, I would say the Bible, but that’s like answering Jesus to a Sunday school question, probably right but a little too easy. One of my all time favorite books is “The Great Divorce” by CS Lewis. It’s a fictional story with some beautiful imagery and brilliant portrayals of how sin can keep us away from God.
Where were you on Sunday? I missed seeing you and your family. I normally see you in the front row but I didn’t see you guys.
We were on the left side (my view, right from your view) a few rows back. Big day for kiddo #1 movin on up to Kid Kraze from wee world!
reading kerouac’s on the road right now…got a box coming from amazon too…cant wait…one particular book i am waiting on is 6 billion others…which is on conversations with people around the world centered around some key questions…yeah i like books…
Brian, you are a reading machine!
Yeah, I guess you could say that I like to read. Not only for education and edification, but also to escape from worries and anxieties to places that fill my mind and take my attention. I also love reading as part of my daily devotionals. Presently I am finishing up Swindoll’s exegesis on John and also the thriller Thr3e by Dekker. I also have a stack of books on my desk that should keep me busy for the next few months.
You read books like I eat Chipotle. Often and really fast. You amaze me with your book consumption.
Ha! Great video, my college boy will crack up.
One of best books i have read is ” Same kind of Differant As Me” . A beautiful, realistic view into the colliding worlds of extreme poverty and wealth. What happens when we move our feet of clay and walk as Jesus told us? Beautiful, lovely things happen. I enjoy your posts. You are gifted, keep giving Him the glory.
Dale, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Love books.
I’m a self professed book nerd.
So best I’ve read recently…Fiction: I just re-read Uncle Tom’s Cabin by Harriot Beacher Stowe for the 6th time.
Writing: The War of Art by Steven Pressfield (read it 4 times in the last 6 months)
Currently reading:Linchpin by Seth Godin(really digging it)
I’ve heard a lot about the War of Art. I might need to check that one out.
I love reading books. I have not read a physical book in about a year though. Since I got a Kindle I have read over 20 books. Can’t beat that convenience.
Last great book I read: A meal with Jesus. Excellent read.
Who wrote A Meal with Jesus? Sounds great. I bet they ate Chipotle.
That’s hilarious! I will have to watch that a few more times. And that kinda looked like you in the pool.
Thanks Clay. Well I’ll take that as a compliment since that guy was skinny.
I really don’t like to read that much…and that is kinda weird because I love to write!….
some one suggested that maybe I haven’t found the right authors yet…and I think, that might have had some truth to it…
I’ve read John Pipers big works…
Some donald Miller…
….ohter than my bible…that’s about it. LOL!
But, i’m working on it…i’m part of a book club at work and my brother and I just started one with our friends…
I hear ya. I’m in the same boat. I’d rather watch the movie. I do read a book with my quiet time. Right now I’m reading the Grace of God by Andy Stanley. So far I really like it.
I don’t read as much as I should. I have a hard time getting into it and getting and processing info from the printed page.
That said, one of my favorite books is My Name is Asher Lev. It’s by Chaim Potok. I read it (a couple times) years ago, and I don’t know why it appeals to me so much, but it does. I keep my favorite quote from that book on my Facebook profile:
“A life should be lived for the sake of heaven. One man is not better than another because he is a doctor while the other is a shoemaker. One man is not better than another because he is a lawyer while the other is a painter. A life is measured by how it is lived for the sake of heaven.”
Great quote! Thanks for sharing that.
I definatly do not dislike reading, but to say I love it would be an overstatement. Last good book I read, well there are a couple. Finished the book Weird, it was awesome. Working on Coming Back Stronger by Drew Brees right now! Oh, and I went through the Left Behind series again about three months ago, but did the audio versions this time. Awesome series for anyone interested in those type of books.
I’m looking forward to reading Weird. Have you read The Christian Atheist by him? It’s good stuff.
Oh yeah! Awesome book. I am wanting to grab Chazown, but the wifey has put a break on book buying till I catch up. Also, I am considering grabbing Sun Stand Still, once my book band is lifted..lol.
My favorite line: “our operators speak American!” Haha! That’s funny. What a great video.

I really loved The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Fascinating to me… about social observations and such.
