While I’m on vacation I thought I’d have some of my friends guest blog. Today’s post is sponsored by the following: Dan Peters. Dan is a realtor extraordinaire, faithful robshep.com reader, and one of my closest friends. Enjoy.

Kids Are MUCH more trouble than dogs…

I could make a list of 50 reasons why the title is true, but in the interest of keeping it short, here are 3 (It’s not that I don’t like kids, I only find it amusing that people who don’t like dogs because of the hassle are often all for kids):

DISCLAIMER: The facebook post at the bottom of this blog is true. I did NOT make it up to make a point. Names have been changed to protect the innocent / keep a good mother from loosing her kids.

1. The cost is astronomical. I’ve read it costs about $190,000 to raise a child to the age of 18 in the US. If you really love your dog, it might cost 2% of that.
2. You can’t cage a kid… at least not and keep them. My dogs are in a cage right now, they will be all day. I’ll let them out, they’ll go to the bathroom outside, run around for 15 minutes and they’ll go right back to sleep. You wish your kid would go to sleep.
3. Kids are at least as gross as dogs (I’d argue much more so). Don’t think so? Enjoy the following excerpt from facebook.

All you Parents have your stories… kids can be nasty. And I don’t mean in a good way. There are many, many more examples of why kids are more trouble than dogs, but this is a good start.
