Thank you for taking the time to make robshep.com a part of your day. I love having a blog because it lets me connect with people. If you don’t get a chance to read the comments they are often better than the blog. If you leave comments then thank you! My wife says that comments are my love language.
I love getting to know who reads my little blog. So today we play 5 Questions. 5 random questions that I’d love to see you answer. I’ll see you in the comments.
Word that you most often overuse?
Zombies or Vampires?
What is one movie that most people have seen but you haven’t?
Favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?
Last album you listened all the way through?
I’ll go first.
Oh snap.
Zombies! Nobody is falling in love with them and they don’t sparkle. Absurd.
1. Awesome or Cool
2. Neither. Know nothing about them. Sorry.
3. Schindler’s List would be one. All but the first two Pirates movies. Wasted time on #2.

3. The Kings Speech.
4. I have a nephew named Rafael, but my sis-in-law says it’s after the painter, not the turtle.
5 Gary Moore Run for Cover (I am currently driving a car that only plays cassettes!)
Billy, thanks for the comment on the blog! If Vampires freaked you out then if you watch Twilight you will disrespect them and it will cure you of your fear. They sparkle.
1. Cool
2. I don’t care, either is delicious with a light cream sauce
3. Titanic, Lord of the Rings trilogy, ET, Harry Potter series, Batman movies, …
4. Manilow
5. Here Comes Trouble, Bad Company
6. There was no #6, but I am an over achiever! Rock on.
1. “Dude”
2. Vampires…definitely vampires…and not the sparkly emo ones!!!
3. Idk….
4. The one witht the Nunchaks…or however you spell it.
5. Come to the well by Casting Crowns.
Rob, we have quite similar answers here. Let’s see
1.Oh snap. (Same)
2.Zombies, easier to kill. (Same)
3.Harry Potter (Different)
4.Leonardo, but Michelangelo is a close second. (Half a point)
5.The Reckoning by Needtobreathe. (Same)
Joe, I think you are on to something. The only reason that I have seen Harry Potter is because of my wife. I’m not a big fan of the movie series. Do you visit Ricky Anderson’s site? It’s been said that we are brothers. If that’s true you might be related to us as well.
My wife has the movie on VHS. She watches the first tape with all the lovey-dovey crap. I watch the second tape where people are falling off the boat and their bodies are bouncing off the railings. Everyone wins.
And I retract my previous comment above. Gotta agree with Rob here. No way I could be related to a someone who has never seen TMNT. There is hope though…Ricky, did you at least play TMNT on Super Nintendo?
1. “Actually” or “God help me.”
2. Zombies. I like in Canada. Vampires make me cold.
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Never did turtles, except for the chocolates, but even those are overrated.
5. Who listens to whole albums anymore? But likely Mumford & Sons.
1. Oh really.
2. Vampires(sparkley or not). Zombies are gag nasty.
3. Harry Potter and the ________
4. The red one.
5. Come to the well – Casting Crowns (last night)
Mike, lots of people have put Casting Crowns. That seems to be a favorite answer. Also the red one is Ralph. He is cool but crude…according to the seem song.
Patti, anything. There isn’t a wrong answer. I was thinking which you prefer but what you are more scared of will work as well. And is your no to the Turtle question a no as in I’m not answering it or no it’s too tough to pick my favorite?
1. I have no idea what word I overuse. Do you know? Probably something I say to the babies.
2. Vampires. Everytime. Exhibit 1, 2, & 3- Edward, Stephan, & Damon. Yum.
3.Gone with the Wind. Parts, but not all.
4. Michelangelo (Mikey!)
5. Needtobreathe’s newest cd.
-Word that you most often overuse?
The. (Seriously…I’m not sure. My friends could probably list off a few without hesitation.)
-Zombies or Vampires?
Zombies. They’re not pretentious. Although if you could mix zombies and vampires and end up with a zombpire or a vambie, that might be kind of intriguing.
-What is one movie that most people have seen but you haven’t?
Oh, dozens and dozens. I don’t watch many movies — not because of any firmly-held principles or anything, but just because I’m apathetic about movies that aren’t by Pixar. If you name a high-profile movie from the past few years, there’s a very good chance I haven’t seen it.
-Favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle?
I liked the show, but I never had a favorite.
-Last album you listened all the way through?

1. Roger That!! It used to be serious, but it has now leaked way over to extremely sarcastic and serious so no one knows anymore which!
2. Vampires, but Anne Rice vampires, not those horrible Stephanie Meyer half breeds.

5. Strange pet peeve. I have to listen to albums from beginning to end, not pick out songs, kinda feels like cheating to me. John Mayer Trio’s live album “Try” btw!
Scott, you need to watch Slumdog! It’s a fantastic movie! Oh and Casey Jones is a solid pick. He was crazy in the cartoon but great in the first movie.
1. Really
2. Vampires RULE! Especially the sparkly ones…
3. There are 3: Schindler’s List, The English Patient and Gone with the Wind

5. Absolution by Muse
1) “Y’know”… I once got called out on it on a performance review.
2) KILL THEM ALL
3) There are a lot of these. First one I can think of is The Godfather
4) Donatello
5) I probably haven’t listened to an entire album for 7 or 8 years. I blame the iPod.
I figure that there is so much of the movie in pop culture already that I probably already know most of it by now.
I also can say that I hadn’t seen any of the Lethal Weapon movies until last week and my wife put on LW2 since they’re on Netflix now. I guess that would have been a close second.
1)Seriously
2)Not a fan of either but guess I would pick Vampires I remember watching Dark Shadow’s as a kid guess that shows how old I am : )
3)Any of the Twilight movies
4)Donatello he seems to be the most popular
5)Sanctus Real (not sure of the album name)
Word that you most often overuse? “The”
Zombies or Vampires? Zombies!
What is one movie that most people have seen but you haven’t? Any Star Wars prequel.
Favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Rafael
Last album you listened all the way through? House of Heroes-Suburba.
Michaelangelo was always the popular funny guy. I’ve always picked a favorite based on what wasn’t the consensus. Somehow I didn’t grow up to become a hipster though.
Interesting.
Zombies. I had a uncle who was a vampire and I guess I got over any fear of vampires at a young age.

1. Hey!
2. Old school vampires that don’t sparkle
3. E.T.
4. I don’t have a favorite, though I think there’s one named Leonardo
5. Amy Grant’s first Christmas album yesterday
Hey Larry! You should rent E.T. I bet that you will cry. It’s a great movie. Oh and Michelangelo wears orange. That should go far with you.
1. Whatever.
2. Zombies because I’m pretty sure I can run fast enough to get away from one of those as opposed to blood suckers.
3. Michelangelo.
4. Any Twilight movie. And as a side note, havent read a single book from the series either. Yeah, I’m pretty proud of that. Ha!!!

5 Gary Moore Run for Cover (I am currently driving a car that only plays cassettes!)
T.C., is this zombie apocalypse a movie or a prophecy? I need to know how to prepare.
It’s a prophecy! You need to be ready! I turn 40 in 2013 and have a ‘thing’ about getting old, so the apocolypse coming in 2012 is good timing.
T.C., funny.
1. Bubba
2.Vampires, they always freaked me out as a kid.
3.Twilight
4.Never seen them.
5.Woodstock,over and over.
Billy, thanks for the comment on the blog! If Vampires freaked you out then if you watch Twilight you will disrespect them and it will cure you of your fear. They sparkle.
1. Seriously
2. Team Edward
3. Any of the Harry Potter Movies
4. Raphael
5. John Mark McMillan “Economy”
Michael, I could see you liking Raphael. He was a little bit of a rebel and he is bad to the bone.
1. Cool

3. Titanic, Lord of the Rings trilogy, ET, Harry Potter series, Batman movies, …

1.Oh snap. (Same)
2.Zombies, easier to kill. (Same)
3.Harry Potter (Different)
4.Leonardo, but Michelangelo is a close second. (Half a point)
5.The Reckoning by Needtobreathe. (Same)
That is 3.5/5……Brother?
Joe, I think you are on to something. The only reason that I have seen Harry Potter is because of my wife. I’m not a big fan of the movie series. Do you visit Ricky Anderson’s site? It’s been said that we are brothers. If that’s true you might be related to us as well.
I do frequent Ricky Anderson’s site. His was one of the 1st ones I found when I started using Google Reader. Maybe we are distant cousins.
I’m honored, Joe!
1. All my words are distributed evenly.
2. Don’t care.
3. Titanic.
4. Never saw TMNT.
5. Probably something by Thousand Foot Krutch.
Dear Ricky: Don’t see Titanic. Longest 3 hours of my life. Halfway through, I was saying, I’m glad the boat sinks.
I’m glad my wife has never tried to force this one on me.
My wife has the movie on VHS. She watches the first tape with all the lovey-dovey crap. I watch the second tape where people are falling off the boat and their bodies are bouncing off the railings. Everyone wins.
Ricky, you cut me deep with that one. There is no way that we are brothers or even cousins if you have never seen TMNT.
And I retract my previous comment above. Gotta agree with Rob here. No way I could be related to a someone who has never seen TMNT. There is hope though…Ricky, did you at least play TMNT on Super Nintendo?
Ok you two, listen up:
I said I’d never seen it, not that I was too good to see it or somehow looked down on your precious Turtles.
My parents wouldn’t let me watch it, so I had no choice.
I also haven’t seen the Smurfs or Scooby Doo.
Can we still be friends / brothers?
Ricky, yes. It’s all good. If it makes you feel any better my parents wouldn’t let me watch He-Man.
My mom wouldn’t let me watch old school Star Trek because it was too “scary”… now it looks so hokey and goofy that it’s comical.

2. What I’m afraid of the most? What I like the most? I don’t understand the question.
3. Rudy.

5. Raffi “Baby Beluga”

1. Dude
2. Vampires, but not the sparkly kind, the Buffy kind
3. The Hangover
4. Raphael
5. Live with Phil Poteat and the Waters Edge Band
Randal, you know I’ve never seen Buffy. I might need to Netflix it. I’ve heard good things but I’ve never seen an episode. I did see the movie.
The series is better than the movie by far. If she was still around those Twilight books would simply read “…and then Buffy staked Edward. The End.”
That’s funny, Randal.
Mutemath: Odd Soul.
Burrill, I like vambie. That needs to be the next craze. I can see it now. You should patent it.
1. COOL!
2. Neither
3. Casablanca (at least not all the way through)
4. Don’t know any of them
5. The Gabe Dixon Band
Cindy, I haven’t seen Casablanca either. It looks boring to me. I also haven’t heard of the Gabe Dixon Band. What type of music are they?
1. Glorious
2. Vampires. The real kind. Whatever that means.
3. O Brother Where Art Thou
4. Never was into the turtle crew. I know, robbed childhood.
5. Ghosts Upon the Earth, Gungor. Uhmazing.
TMZ, O Brother is a weird movie. I left the theater and I was so confused with it. Not confused like I didn’t understand. More like confused because it is so weird. But I couldn’t stop talking about it. The more I talked about it the more I started to realize that I might have actually liked it. It has some classic lines that quote to this day.
‘Oh Brother’ is one on my faves. A nice modern (sorta) translation of a classic story. And I am a Dapper Dan Man!
Here we go..

2)Vampire (I mean who wouldn’t want to be able to read minds)
3)The Note book (I have seen bits and pieces on TV, but not the whole thing)

5)The Reckoning by Need to Breathe.
Joseph, LOVE Needtobreath! Love em.
Yeah, man, I can’t decide which song I like the most. Devil’s been Talking is a good one.
Joseph, my favorite is Eyes Wide Open.
1. Roger That!! It used to be serious, but it has now leaked way over to extremely sarcastic and serious so no one knows anymore which!
2. Vampires, but Anne Rice vampires, not those horrible Stephanie Meyer half breeds.
3. Slumdog Millionaire
4. Does it have to be a Turtle…? I was always more of a Casey Jones guy! Strange how much that guy in the movie looks just like the lead singer of the band Creed!
4. Donatello…because he’s the only one I could think of when I read the post, at least I THINK there’s one named that. Does he like to eat a lot? If so, that could be why I remember/relate to him, lol.
5. Absolution by Muse
Just looked up Donatello on Wikipedia, apparently he was the brainy one. THAT must be why I related to him, just ignore that eating thing, lol!
Kelly, funny. I’m glad that Wikipedia could help you out.
1) “Y’know”… I once got called out on it on a performance review.
2) KILL THEM ALL
3) There are a lot of these. First one I can think of is The Godfather
4) Donatello
5) I probably haven’t listened to an entire album for 7 or 8 years. I blame the iPod.
I used to consider The Godfather required viewing and one of my favorite movies.
I tried to watch it again two years ago and had to turn it off. Too much crap to wade through to appreciate the excellent story line.
I figure that there is so much of the movie in pop culture already that I probably already know most of it by now.
I also can say that I hadn’t seen any of the Lethal Weapon movies until last week and my wife put on LW2 since they’re on Netflix now. I guess that would have been a close second.
Russ, I hear ya on the iPod. It’s drastically changed the amount of albums that I listen to.

4 – Donatello
5 – Switchfoot, Vice Verses
Sirvhim, I love the new Switchfoot album! Quality stuff.

2)Not a fan of either but guess I would pick Vampires I remember watching Dark Shadow’s as a kid guess that shows how old I am : )
3)Any of the Twilight movies
4)Donatello he seems to be the most popular
5)Sanctus Real (not sure of the album name)
Kim, I think they are making a Dark Shadow’s movie. I might be mistaken but I think Johnny Depp is making it.
Rob, I just looked it up and you are right it’s going to be a Tim Burton movie with Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper That sounds pretty crazy!

Clay, I feel like there are a lot of people who didn’t grow up with Ninja Turtles. How is Don the favorite?

Interesting.
Zombies. I had a uncle who was a vampire and I guess I got over any fear of vampires at a young age.

3. All of The Matrix movies.
4. Michaelangelo. (By far! He has nunchucks! And he’s hysterical!)
5. Brothers by The Black Keys
