Today I have the great honor and privilege of guest posting over at Ricky Anderson’s site. You may remember Ricky from this guest post or from being my arch nemesis during the Blogging All-Star Challenge. Now some may wonder why my blogging arch nemesis would invite me to guest post over at his site. Great question. He named his son’s middle name Robert. He didn’t tell me this but I know it’s him trying to win me over. Done. Ricky has a ha-larious blog and I hope that you will check out his stuff even after my post is long forgotten. Since his kid is less than a week old I thought that I would tell him everything that his baby will bring to the table. You can read the entire post here. If you are feeling lazy and just want to read a part of the post you can check that out here…
Being a dad of five month old twins, I think that I can write on great authority about what your baby is going to bring to the table. Now when I write table, I mean things they are going to be good at when they are first born.
Pooping. Babies are great at this. The first couple of poos look like they ate straight oil in the womb. It’s gross. One benefit of all this pooping is that you can blame all of your funky smells on them and no one will question it.
Crying. I don’t know if your kid will be as gifted as mine, but my kids were gifted criers when they were first born. They would cry in the middle of the night on a consistent basis. They also would wait to cry until we sat down to eat, watch a TV show, or try to sleep ourselves. Good luck with that.
Being the dad of a 12 year old, a 1 year old, and a new baby on the way, the list I could come up with could honestly be endless!
Constant sink useage: I have never in my life used a kitchen sink as much! I seriously wash bottles what seems like a million times a month.
Nap intuition: Our son could seriously sleep for hours, the second we start doing something that needs to be done, he instantly wakes up.
Humor: I have to say this is one of the best thing Trenton brings to the table. Example: Yesterday him and I were watching Super Why while sitting on the couch. He climbs up behind me, stands up, taps me on the shoulder when I go to look he switches back to the opposite shoulder and starts laughing. Then repeats over and over..going back and forth. It was hilarious.
Sick with worry!: Rebecca, and I just got back from the emergency room. We have been there for the last five hours watching doctors and nurses poke and prod our 12 month old, to find out why he was running a fever of 105.8!!!
They finally have the fever under control, and blood work, x-rays, urine test, throat swab, nasal swab, and a partridge in pear tree, all came back negative. Thank God. But now as exhausted as me and her are, we can’t shut our eyes because we just feel like we should stand over his crib all night and observe!!
O.K., I will go and read the rest of this on a different blog page. Geez, what an inconvenience.
Links are overrated.
What does that mean?
Daniel joked that reading the rest of the post an a different blog page was an inconvenience, so I said links are overrated.
That makes sense now. Sometimes I’m a little slow.
Headin’ over now!

Thanks Joseph. I can’t wait till my kids can talk and make me laugh.
I have to add one, in light of recent events!
